Because the AACD is the largest cosmetic dental organization in the world and the only one that developed a double-blind, peer-review accreditation process in the early 2000s, meant to stand up to any ethical or legal scrutiny (previous "accreditations" were much less rigorous and didn't hold up). And Dr. Sullivan is the ONLY dentist in Lane County to have passed their rigorous credentialing process to become Accredited. Indeed, olf the roughly 190,000 practicing dentists in the United States alone, fewer than 450 in the entire world have passed so far, and of those less than 300 have passed since the AACD upgraded their Accreditation to be a true medal of honor.

Overachiever that he is, Dr. Sullivan was Accredited Member number 263 in 2006, after the process became a years-long endeavor of dedication.
